Rebuild a Webber

I am considering some tech work that I am not familiar with----like rebuilding Webbers. DOes anyone have a complete carb although in need of a rebuild that I could practice on withoiut doing harm for real. IOW---does anyone have a Webber they no longer need that they would like to sell for not a whole lot of $$$$$$.

Unless you're going to get involved with replacing worn shafts with oversize, resurfacing idle air screw seats, etc., rebuilding Weber carburetors is pretty simple - buy one of the several aftermarket manuals and just do it.

i don't have a set for you. but a month ago i posted the same request on the samba
and bought both of theses for $30. i'm converting them to fuel injection so i removed
and plugged all linkages, port etc.. because they will npo longer be metering fuel.
jump right in they're not complicated at all. they're beautifully made. happy learning.

How did you get that nice shine on the carbs. They look great!

1991 saab single stage polyurethane paint.
these carbs are "gutted" for show only. air is the only thing that is going to flow thru
them part of a future (long ways off) fuel injection system. i love the look of webers
but ya can't beat f.i.

Thanks for the tip. The next time I pull the motor and clean up the engine bay I will do that paint. Very nice!
