It did not state anywhere in the discription when I purchased that I needed to purchase clamps. Stated it was a "KIT". Does a kit not indicate that it has everything you need to install.......

Stephen---how disappointing. Mine came with everything---bar, clamps, bolts amd urethane cushions. What brand did you order?
Yeah I'd check into that! Shoulda been a complete kit.

Empi Kit
Empi is the scourge of the VW high performance industry. Please, please, PLEASE insist on receiving the hardware as well! The people who run Empi subscribe to PT Barnum's belief that "there's a sucker born every minute". So many of their products are poorly made and such a disapointment that the lure of low prices is quickly shattered by the realization what you've bought doesn't quite fit or is made of substandard materials. 30 years ago Gene Berg called Empi the "death of the VW performance industry", and his words have turned out to be so prophetic...

I'm no defender of the company but it might not be Empi's failing. I'm pretty sure that I ran across a seller who listed the bar at a very good price with the "suggested" other items showing a clamp kit at not such a great price.
I don't remember for sure which seller it was but I'm thinking CIP1. I might be wrong - I was shopping for front and rear sway bars when I saw it and paid a higher price from a seller who had the whole shebang at one price.
BTW, most of the aftermarket clamp kits with the red bushings include stainless clamps that are the same type that I used to install a 4" exhaust system on one of my Dodge diesel trucks. Shopping exhaust sellers gave me prices for those giant clamps of under $5.00 each at the time so I'd guess that the littler ones would be cheaper. Might save a few off the $39. pricing I've seen for seperate clamp sets if it's worth the legwork to you.

yelp Cip is a good place to buy the clamps and rubber bushing alone they do offer them..

Give me an address I have a couple of extra sets from when we use to buy complete kits and toss the clamp stuff in a bin. We weld all of our sway bar mounts in place. I'll send you some free.....
