I almost bought that car when it was out in Cali. I don't know who owns it...but if it is the same one I think it is it went from vintage to Eurocar OC in Cali to south atlanta motorsports to this person in Florida All in the past year to year and a half.
Nice looking Outlaw. The black Pegasus on the red paint is a nice touch.
Yeah, I like the looks of that car. Outlaw without being overdone.
Hello Todd, did you ever buy your replacement VS?
Wonder where they bought the jail grills? It appears to cover the outside lens. The set I bought the lens had to be removed and I'm not really crazy exposing the inner housing to the humid SoCal weather while driving.
Ad #1574174 on the Samba for "jail grills" that don't require glass removal.
Very cool BobG. Thank you. Shipping must be a killer for the UK.
I had the covers over my lights that vs put on when they built it and still had lenses but mine were not the jail bar type but more of the basket type.
i have not done anything else in speedster world yet. That would make 3 speedsters and I still want to build a spyder. I do have a 986 and a 1989 944 Turbo S keeping me company though!
Oh and yes, I am waiting for the guy that bought my last one to re sell it to me at a loss when he decides that he isn't driving it enough!!
Humid Socal weather? Are you on that new Earth like planet?
From here in the heart of the SC lowcountry, hearing SoCal called humid is kinda funny.
Many times I've made an evening run through the canyons and noticed my tach building up with moisture; by next day parked in the gargage its cleared. If that happens there's moisture in the air. Right nothing compared to SC or Florida in the summer
I love my car too, but I am not going to touch that one.
I know we kind of got off topic, but hey that's what we do. And I'm not in the market for a car. But isn't this car a pretty good deal? 2013, 1915cc, wide 5's, leather, 2000 miles. Love the fact that you can just register it as a 1970 vw. I know that 1970 pans were IRS. Does that mean that this car has IRS. Or do builders put swing axle in pans that were originally IRS?
Did some research on the site and answered my own question. Guess most manufacturers convert IRS pans to swing axle. What a pity.
