GOOD LOOKING CAR BRIAN
Brian,
That dusty blue twin grille T6 bodied coupe isn't a replica, is it???
Cheers!

Cheers!

I love that outlaw. If Sheilah and I weren't specifically looking for a stock, original coupe, I think I'd have been all over that thing.
Don called an looks like your Speedster will make it to Carlisle after all...
: )
Cool! I got a call from a GA number while I was in this meeting and thought it might be him. Typing on my laptop looks like I'm working. Start taking phone calls and people start frowning at me...
Brian are your racing gumballs permanent or static? I would love to get a set but want to be able to pull off and put on when I want.
Finish Line Products generally has a set of static gumballs for Cobra's...the size works fine with Speedsters...just make sure the back is super clean before you apply them...the more you take them on and off, the more likely you are to get something that sticks to the back surface and scratches the paint...
let me know if you need the numbers...
Brian G
Ahhh static doesn't sound like such a good idea then...
Just have to keep the back super clean at all times...then they don't want to stick sometimes...
Hey, take a look at the new "Gary Emory Badged" 1964 356 Outlaw I just put on the website...Just added 40 pictures...Take a look and tell me what you think...

Hi Guys,
I use the static cling on my Cobra and have even had them on my Speedster for a laugh.
They are the Finishline product. I purchased the gum balls pre numbered and also purchased two set of the vintage decals. Think the gum balls are about $70 and the full set of vintage decals at $45 a set.
I wash my Cobra with them on and have found they do not hold dirt on the edges or lift.
I store them back on the sheet they arrived on to keep them flat. Wiping them with Windex and spraying Windex onto the body allows them to slide around to the right location.
And no problems with them coming off even at 160mph on the track...
If you want some photos please email me on.
I can send some photos of the Cobra with the decals on and give you one or two tricks in detail - to ensure they stay on and are applied dead flat, without marking the paint.
enjoy the ride stay safe.
Bernie
I've had the static cling type on my car for several years although they are fading - the red is starting to look a little "pinkish" - so might have to eventually replace them. Have had them on in rain storms, hot and cold weather and never lost them.
That emory car is BAD! What is up with the motor in it?
AAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH! How late are you guys going to be on the showfield at Carlisle? Now Intercity Transport is coming Saturday to deliver the white car. I won't be able to leave until it arrives. I get the feeling I'm being tested.
Now, I'm replying to my own posts.
Got a text from Don, the transporter that is bringing the Speedster. The truck was due to leave last night, but had a brake problem and landed itself in the shop. Hoping for a simple repair. He's really trying. Finished texting with Don and my wife called. Returning from a meeting in her AMG, she hit some kind of metal rod in the roadway, which punctured the tire, straight through the barrel of the rim and into the rear brakes. I should've stayed in bed.
Geez man...it's gotta get better right? I mean you have a speedster coming at least!
After reading these posts, we were a bit apprehensive about registering our new purchase ... turns out New Hampshire has to be about the easiest place to get this done. First, you don't have to go to a DMV office, your local town office can handle most, if not all your needs including personalized plates and while we were fortunate to have a clear title but if we didn't, a bill of sale and previous registration would suffice ... no bill of sale and no reg? No problem, a relatively quick and easy VIN check and as long as it doesn't come back stolen or used in a crime, you're good to go. And with the personalized plate and 'Antique' designation on the title / reg it was $45 for the year and took all of 15 minutes .... felt a little guilty after what so many have dealt with!
Glad it went so well for you, Michael. I'll add it to all the other reasons I love New Hampshire. I first went there camping with my family as a little boy. I thought it was beautiful then and I still do. Have a ball with your new ride.
Glad your registration went without too much drama, Michael! Kinda makes driving the Speedster that much sweeter.
I'm not sure how it's going to go here in Illinois. Probably have to go in, pay off the local politicians, give a "gift" to the local law enforcement, have 3 different VINs in my car, a title signed by the president, overpay for insurance, pay the taxes on the taxes then wait 2 years for the wrong plates to arrive...

Just started to get the documents together to register the Coupe and realized the Bill of Sale is a copy. F@#&! Here we go again.

I'm south of Chicago about 40 miles and I don't have anything titled yet, other than my dune buggy and that is listed as a 59' VW. I'm going to sell my Fiberfab (unfinished) and get a Beck. The Fiberfab would just be registered as a 1970 VW.
Bob, I see you live in Brimfield. Small town. In high school, we always marched in one of your parades and did it twice because it was so short! True story!
Jeff
Jeff:
I found registering my Vintage that I acquired second hand from a California owner was quite easy. They accepted the title and previous registration paperwork listing the car as a 1970 VW without any problem. It carries a VW VIN and that was all they cared about.
I actually live between Brimfield and Kickapoo off of the 74, in the country. Kickapoo is even smaller than Brimfield.
Consider coming to CORN DAZE whether you have your Beck by then or not. Plenty of right seats and a good chance to see a few cars plus the Great Race stopover if you can layover to Monday.
It is nice down there.
I know I'm going to have a few headaches registering my other cars as two of them don't have titles. One is being constructed from scratch so it doesn't even have a VIN. I may slap a VW tunnel section under it since it is mostly VW. I'm not sure how I'm going to register the Beck though. Carey probably knows all the flaming hoops to jump through.
Don't remind me. I hated marching band.....
Jeff
One time at band camp...
I've heard that line but never saw any of those movies.
