Anyone have experience bringing a Vintage Speedster from Arizona to California. Ca DMV can be difficult to say the least. I would think that as long as it is titled as a Pre 75 Vw in Arizona there shouldn't be an issue.

any car, pre-1976 will be smog-exempt in California ('75 and earlier)

That is the question i've put to the owner but haven't heard back yet.

Ask him to send a cell pic of the title. Even if it is registered as a VW, you want to be sure it doesn't have a salvage title.

When we got a 74 cabriolet VW we needed to smog it. Hence we decided to sell it onto someone else

If we're talking about California, I don't think that would be the case now.
