I've read past threads where folks have moved their speedometer on Kirk's VS from left side to the right. Some have commented using cables from bus length which the shortest I've found is 81" (2070mm) making the cable about 25" longer than the current one I have at 56"(1397mm)- all I need is about 2-3 inches more to reach the new location. This means too much is wrapped around under the dash and possible effecting the accuracy of the read out. Some folks have taken their existing 56" cable and re-routed. I would be interested in what path they routed the cable. I find the gas tank is in the way for a straight shot up the steering column. Which I have also found something is blocking the column tube. Any ideas would be great to hear.

I think I used a super beetle cable.
Stephen- do you recall the PN and supplier? Was the cable routed the same way as the original? Was this done on a Vintage? Thanx Michael
I have a new bus cable for sale. Used it for about a month, worked great, but then replaced all the gauges with the new VDO ones. The speedo now uses GPS.
The extra length of the bus cable didn't affect accuracy of the mechanical speedo at all. Routed it the same way.

Thank you everyone, I have the bus cable and found it too long. So, I'll need to make gradual wrap around to take up the extra.

I have a CMC speedster and have a 1967 Bus.
