Giving credit where credit is due, All 3 insurance companies paid, House I was covered, car covered but it's never enough to actually replace your car, Business 33 years old underinsured by 1.5MM they gladly paid to our limits building and contents, smiled and said goodby. I guess it was really our fault for not verifying that replacement cost had a limit not truly whatever it takes to replace everything. Those of you out there all need to look very closly at what your insurance will pay if you lose everything, don't forget you have to pay to clean it all up before you can rebuild. Katrina has made my family stronger and much more appricative for what we have try living in a third world country for 4-5 weeks when you know even though it dosen't look like it you are in the good old USA. I would post other pics but everyone has seen enough of it same with 9-11 Just remember to take a min and remember all those who are struggling to cope.. Military too.

Here's to you, Richard. I am, still, negotiating with ins. (Texas Windstorm Ins. ASSo) regarding my roof that was damdged in Ike (by the way, did y'all know that the city of Galveston, TX. is being renamed: Tina because it was bitch slapped by Ike). It has been less than a year, so everybody is really in a hurry to resolve the situation. Now, we cannot find a match for the tile...yadadadaya.
Life is wonderful, right? The underlayment i\has been replaced, but the tile is, well, not there...black roof in sunny Clear Lake TX= $500.00/month higher electric bill...yes...$750.00/mo.
Gotta love it!

George,

Have faith it took a while but we got thru it even have A/C now and a back up generator. It took a lot a patience, a few beers, a bottle of tequila, maybe some scotch. Get a goal, one of mine has been to make it to the Smokies when the leaves are turning, Thanks to our brethern, Hoss, Tom et all I'll make that trip this October. This Bridge may be the next goal I think it's on the West Coast someplace.

One of you guys speak up

Any one able to tell me where this pic is from? I think one of my goals should be to drive the Speedie across it....

Richard
Sound like a Big Easy stimulis is in the works - what's another $250B?

Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu (D) is presently asking Congress for
250 BILLION DOLLARS to rebuild New Orleans.

Interesting number... what does it mean?

A. Well... if you are one of the 484,674 residents of New Orleans
(every man, woman, and child) you each get $516,528.

B. Or... if you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.

C. Or.... if you are a family of four... your family gets $2,066,012.
