Wonderful! You've solved my yearly dilema for a great Christmas gift!
On a similar note~ we flew with a really great guy this Summer. His Dad used to own a Porsche dealership, back in the day. Dan (the FO on our trip) got a kick out of Marc & me and our Love of our Speedster. Since I am in charge of "stuff", we were all laughing about everything I've managed to collect over the years. He said his attic was full of "stuff" from his Dad~ and he might get around to cleaning it out someday. A month goes by, and I'm flying with Dan on another trip. He says he has something for us and proceeds to pull out a box with a Distler 356 from Germany~ 1950's era! I just laugh because I think he's brought the car to SHOW to me! Nope~ he says it needs a good home, and he knows that Marc & I will not only appreciate it, but will take care of it. After much discussion, I agreed to take it. I looked, later, on E-bay and immediately called him to say we could NOT keep it! (Really, I had no idea the worth!~) He refused, and said that he knows what they are worth, but it wasn't worth anything in his attic! We sent him a nice thankyou, to be sure. But he was right ~ the little car has a good home and we LOVE it!
