Hi, I'm trying to remove the steering wheel on my vintage speedster.  It looks like the previous owner used a different one to VS original (see attached).

Most YouTube suggest there is a clip to remove the horn which gains you access to the screws inside or behind the horn.  Mine doesn't come out that way.  Anyone else had similar issues?

Thanks,
Alessio

Are you using the word vintage to mean it is an older car or with a capital V meaning it was built by Vintage Speedsters?  If the previous owner told you it was built by Vintage, I believe he was mistaken.
Troy's right,  an old speedster for sure, but not a Vintage Speedster.

You have a Flat Four banjo wheel and horn button. If you look close, around the outside ring of the horn button you will see a slot.  Use a small screwdriver or flat thin piece of steel and carefully pry up.  The horn button will start to come up. Keep working it out and when it comes out you will see the nut that holds on the wheel.

Perhaps it's my old eyes. Your picture looks to me, as if the horn is already off of the boss?  BEFORE you go any further disconnect the ground from your battery (ask me how I know).

I think I see the usual 6 holes for a Nardi style wheel. (12 o'clock, 2, 4 ,6, 8 and 10 o'clock)

What is that red wire in the middle of the pic?  Fpcopo is correct that is a Flat Four Banjo wheel with button.

MusbJim is correct, 4 o'clock, or the sign of Aries.

Can you give us, more pics?

The wire is the horn wire that goes through the steering and connects to the horn from behinds.  I should clarify the screw came loose from the steering wheel to end up in this situation.  As I turned the steering wheel around  in hope of getting the other screw to come loose the red wire got disconnected.  No biggy that.

Previous guy did a cowboy job!
Finally fixed it!  The silver run around the horn button comes off.  It's not easy to get it off and prone to damage.  Most other steering wheels come off easier.

It was terrible.  The steering wheel had 1 screw missing!!  The previous owner was a complete cowboy to leave a screw out.

If anyone needs helps with a similar steering please let me know.

Thanks again.
