Hi, I am having trouble removing the horn bottom of my 356 Vintage replica speedster. There are no apparent slots around the silver ring or any screws. I can see three narrow slots at the back of the steering wheel but I can’t seem to understand if there is a screw in there or something. I tried pushing them with a think metal piece but nothing popped off. I would really appreciate any help.

It is simply a press in fit. There are 3 small holes in the back side of the wheel, use a thin long Alan wrench and work your way around each of the holes, pushing it out slightly on each, then moving to the next. Some fit very tightly and take a finger bruising amount of force to get them to move, and don't do too much in one hole or you'll get it cocked and it'll be harder to get out.
Thank you chines1 for your help! Unfortunately I couldn’t get it out. I used an Alan key as suggested and could hear a small click sound but nothing popped out. I even pushed really hard but nothing happened. Do you think I just need to maybe use some WD-40 or just push even harder ? I would really appreciate some more help.

I've gone around, tapping a long drift with a brass mallet. Took awhile but I got it off. Mine wasn't in a car as I was test fitting it on a custom column, so I'm not sure how much room you have.

Your Alan key looks a bit large for that hole so maybe one size or two down maybe you can grab it with a pair of vice grips, very careful y and help pull while you push. Sorry, I don’t have much more advice. It’s a press fit and those holes are your access to push on the back of it to remove. It’s very tight and not easy… Ove literally bent tools trying to remove, especially if the ID of the steering wheel wasn’t opened up a bit. The main key is working your way around all 3 holes evenly. If you get it started too crooked you make it tighter…
