Replace wheels and nerf bars | 356 Speedster, 550 Spyder, Replica, Automotive Community

I am new to this site have had my car less than a year. I want to Replace wheels, tires and nerf bars with bumpers on a 1985 CMC flared.The tires that are on it now 205/50 UR 15 the tires just have 6,000 miles on them but have been on the car sense 1985 and the wheels have some rust on them.I am 65 years old and wanted one of these cars 30 years. Thanks for your help.

Welcome to Speedsterowners.com. First off, if you are in Arkansas, we would like to get a central southwest US Speedster Owners club going... Guys in OK, TX, AR & LA... anyone is welcome.

Back on topic, every so often you see bumpers up for sale on ebay. Vintage Speedsters can sell you a set new, probably include the braces. About the wheels and tires, there are a million options. Look on www.thesamba.com, or just consider a new set of wheels. If you have the wide 5 hole, a set of the popular 5 spokes are less than $400. You've got a lot of choices, but check for width, fit and clearance. We can give you a bunch of tips.

The wheels are 4 hole with disk brakes on front.Have found bumpers
and mounting gear.

You can also buy a nice set of straight aluminum nerf bars for around $80.
