alright gentleman.... So now that I got my first speedster I'm ready to make it my own And WOW AM I OVERWHELMED. 

 

here is my crazy idea.

 

im looking for new rims and wanted something different. I was thinking knock off rudge replica wheels. Does anyone else have these or even know WHERE I CAN FIND THEM & how much are they?

The pan--or an 8-inch round bit of aluminum plate--goes under the spinner, covering the lug bolts. You put eight small acorn nuts around it in a circle. Use a chrome 8-slot mangle or--better, imho, powdered aluminum/silver. You can build the whole set of wheels this way for like $400. That's for all of 'em, not each wheel. 

 

Real Rudge's are unobtainium and the high-end replicas are almost certainly better than the real ones and less than half the price, which will be (my guesstimate) in the $1500-$2000 range. That's per wheel, not for all four.
