replica on winter??

I would like to know if the speedster replica can be driven on winter time in Michigan.

Yes, with roll up windows and a gas heater. Think of what that salt would do to your baby. Buy the speedster and a beater for the winter.

My experience in Germany was that it has as harsh a climate as Michigan. I was navigating the snow storms and back roads in a 1963 VW Beetle. But I agree that I would not want to expose my Conv D to the midwest winters and all of that salt. Winter is not a very good reason to buy a Speedster.

Whaaa...???? A Speedster as a winter car? It will eventually end up as a fibreglass body on 4 wheels with no more frame.

I am in Columbus, and spent 10 years in Youngstown before that.
I have driven an ADAMO, Puma, and ENVEMO Super 90 in the winter. They all had roll-up windows, and none of them had anything more than stock heat (via heater boxes) There were times it was pretty rough! I now have a Spyder and Speedster, and bought a '82 300D to drive in the winter as my "beater" From experience, if you can afford to drop a few grand on a "winter beater", do it!

When I was with IBM consulting at Ford in Detroit My 1956 Speedster went into the garage for the winter and I bought a Corvair convertible to avoid salting the Porsche. Do whatever you gotta do...
