There's a hub involved in this and there are more than one out there to fit various steering columns from various years.

If there is a hub included in this sale, please say so and then be prepared to describe the hub correctly. You may have to count the number of splines and / or be prepared to measure the applicable diameters etc.

More info is needed.

All righty then, just got off the Sierra Madre site and the wheel ( only white is shown there now ) is $289.45 US and the hub is $74.10...total of $363.55. No idea what shipping is. When I bought mine, the black wheel was the same price.

People bemoan this wheel sometimes as being flimsy but you can push the "frets" down a bit toward the center and firm them up. I've put about 30 or 40 thousand miles on mine and really like it.

In my crash last year the impact was severe enough that both my hands bent the wheel towards the dash....possibly saving me from broken bones in my wrists / arms or at least they softened the impact for which I'm grateful. I've never liked pain.

@ Dave

I know what you mean.  I had an 80's model year Mitsubishi mini-truck, fell asleep, woke up about two seconds before impact, and rear-ended a big rig.  I bent the bottom of the steering wheel with my knees up toward the steering column and bent the top of the steering wheel over completely. The impact also tore the seat belt material causing my chin to hit the top of the steering column since the top of the wheel was bent out of the way.  Somehow I walked away with only minor injuries.

Even modern steering wheels have some give.

Glad you came out ok, Robert. I did sustain some injury....on the right side of my mouth I would have required about 16 stitches in total top and bottom. They just use glue now. To this day there is still some numbness top and bottom right side. I try to remain positive.

Just the other night I dreamed that Sophia Loren was kissing me. Not true apparently and I was disappointed at first. She was just there asking for advice on what to wear and fell onto me...

Just tryin' to stay positive, eh ?
