Return fuel line ,for CIS?

If I were to fore go, using a stump tank, Where would be the best place to install a return line on the tank? Presently I am thinking, right be side the filler pointing downward into the tank. If wanted to check the pump flow simpley pop the gas cap and look.

CB Performance has a simple solution to fuel return with their FI which may be usable to your situation. A 'T' fitting off of the bottom of the gas tank; one direction going to a filter, an inline pump, and then feeding the injectors. The return line passes through a fuel pressure regulator then meets the other side of the T. The pressure regulator maintains the constant pressure between it back to the pump.

It's best to use a FI tank with the stock return setup instead of a "T" fitting, this is because the bypass-returned gasoline has been warmed up in transit and should be dumped back into the tank to help cool it.
