Desi: Is the Claimjumper North or South of the 405?
Looking forward to it.....
Doug (Leon but I go by Doug thanks. it's an alter ego thing LOL).
Doug - as you exit the Southbound 405 onto Brookhurst (in Fountain Valley) the Claim Jumper is located on the left at the next intersection (Talbert). Your VFR will be the Shell gas station, Claim Jumper is behind that station.
Do what Jim said, the weather is beaaaaaaaaaaaautiful today, should be perfect cruizin weather on Saturday : )

Thanks! The original CMC bars are too square for such a curvy car. it was made by an air craft fabricator back in 57 for an original Speedster along with the tonneau cover(hand formed aluminum).

Great day. Cars & Coffee was amazing... never seen anything like it. Great company, great views in Laguna Beach, and a lesson on Webers from Roland. Even lunch was replica German just to round things off.
Thanks Desi. Good times.

I'm wondering if you could post some close-ups of how the bar mounts, and where it falls in the car- how far in front of the bulk-head, how wide, etc.
I'd really, really like to copy that bar. It's a beauty.

It was nice getting a chance to meet some of the SOC folks. Hopefully next time it won't be below freezing when I leave home and I will have the balls to drive my new (old)toy.
Desi, thanks for organizing a great day! It was a pleasure meeting some new club...er....forum members. GERD, thanks for bringing Vince!

Hey Guys!
Had a great time yesterday.
Desi, thanks for setting this up.
Roland, thanks for the tech 101 and great seeing your shop.
John and Doug, great to meet both of you and seeing your fantastic cars.

KV - it would be cool for you to join us on any of our other cruises. We saw your Speedster Outlaw when our group was at the Petersen Museum for the History of Automotive Fiberglass. I think that there is a certain other Speedster Outlaw (with orange hoops) that may be a distant cousin to your car.
Peace - Out!

Right you are, Jim!
Ken, I love your car. It looks like you went more or less for the same look as I did -- you just did it right the first time!
The windshield and floorboards are pretty similar ... is the windshield glass? Looks like it might be.
You must know a guy, huh?

Sure I would like to do some crazy cruising! I remember you guys from Peterson's. I have been through alot with this obsessive beast! . I would like to set it and forget it. Needy Bitch! I still lover her though!
I am running down to Rowland's shop on Sat. To figure out the carb situation.
So is it Carb Night or day that you guys are doing and when?
