Reutter fender badge position

Is there an exact placement position for the Reutter front fender badge? Got one for Christmas and want to get it right. Thanks for any info.

Tom ,congrats on your gift from Santa... any research here will tell you that the lower right side fendor between tire well and door is correct, but the exact location or "measured" area is a little tougher than that.. There is a ton of info & pix here and I am sure someone can tell you better than I could... Let me know when you get it on so you can join us for some more So Cal runs.. Long time since Carbon Canyon.. Bunch of good guys outhere and they are all willing to help out, just like they did for me!

I read in one of my books that the position on those varied as much as 3" on the original cars. If you'd like I can measure mine, it looks pretty good where it sits.

My advice: Look at the pic above for a rough location, then place it in that area, where it looks good to you.

Hopefully one or two of the images will give you an idea as to where to place the badge. Definitely on the passenger side front quarter between the rearward wheel well lip and leading door edge. Centered between them and five inches or so up from the rocker trim, but that's just where mine is going.

As some others have said trust your eye and just eyeball it. Even the factory wasn't exact on the originals.
