the rotor rev limiter has a bad habin of going bad then your dead in the water, just stick with stock and watch your driving, not talking on cell phone. bill
I have an MSD 6AL box, distributor and coil. The box allows me to put a pill in to set my own rev limit. Right now, it's at 6,000 rpms. No trouble in the three years it's been installed.
I had the Mallory Hyfire 6 CD box in mine when it had a distributor. No "pill" needed, any rev limit by 100 rpm can be set with small rotary switches. About the same cost or less than an MSD usually, btw.
Now, I can change it on the laptop, even set it at like 2500 for a valet setting(switchable ignition maps, 2 different ones loaded at any time)..........hahaha, poor valet! There will be NO Ferris Bueller type moments with MY car!!!!
I'd bet several tasty brews that your car has NEVER been in the hands of any valet, anywhere, anytime. Shifting at 2500?? the car would be undriveable, . . .
