We've got to convince Reyne Spooner to re release this shirt or do a pure 356 shirt.
If I see another Ford Woody Hawaiian shirt I'll puke. That's puke . . . not puka.
If we get on it now it might be ready for Spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Use this link to view other work done by Eddy.

Then click on "Home" and "Contact Us" and send Reyn Spooner a message saying that we need shirts with 356's on them. Eddy knows the style, a surfboard and a waheenie here & there would be nice, too.
This should get their attention.

Bill,
See my post under anything goes of 8/17/04. We can get them made, all it takes is enough shirts to use up 1200 yards of material.
I got this nice one last month for only $19.50. Not the same pattern but clearly nice meissen blue speedster.

People have been trying to get Spooner to re-release past artwork for years with very little luck. Maybe we could try Tori Richards for a new piece of art and then release it publically after that.....What the heck, he did THIS one!
Reyn Spooner,
I am a member of a group who's members are rabid about "356" Porsche Speedsters. Particularly the 1956 and 1957 356A's type 1 and type 2.
Your artist "Eddy" knows how to depict this model. If you go to the link below you will see a photo of a shirt Eddy did about five years ago. It was obviously a "sold out" print. I believe if you had Eddy do another print of "356" Porsches it would leap off the "rounders".
If you decide to do it, have Eddy throw in a couple of surfboards and a couple of waheenies. A sure seller.
Also I've attached a photo that I believe was taken in Channel Islands, Ventura, California with Anacapa Island in the background. I think this photo sort of catches the spirit of the "356". (It was a black and white advertisement that appeared in the Wall Street Journal about five years ago). Thank God for short boards.
The Group > www.speedsterowners.com/forum/readmsg.asp?t=5401 > check it out for more artitistic ideas.

Forum Folks,
Above I have cut and pasted an email I sent To Reyn Spooner.
I suggest you send them an email that encourages them to realize if they "build it we will come".

Time zones,
I got an immediate reply from Reyn Spooner. It's a little after lunch in "The Islands". I've copied and pasted their reply, which was:
Bill:
You may want to check out our "James Dean" design:
www.reyns.com/cgi/showitem.pl?ProductId=111
Its showing James Dean ride a familiar car.

Bill,
I have the James Dean shirt also, it is very cool, but the emphasis
is on his spyder rather than speedsters, but there are some speedsters
on the shirt also......
