honestly - if you know hoe to use fiberglas cloth and resin - it's just the dash hump that needs to be cut out and moved.  there is so much material covering up th dash - all you'd ned to do is smooth it with filler until you can't see it under the fabric

the pedal clusters are availbale still in Austrailia and UK, but can fetch ~$350.

that's it.  the steering box needs to be moved / new tabs welded, but none of that is hard.

Those pics and documentation seem to show that rhd Speedsters were built.  This shows that it's not uncommon for Porsche history books to have incorrect statements in them.  Several sources do claim that no Speedsters were factory built with rhd.  Possibly both seemingly contradictory statements are true, if rhd mods were done in S.Africa.  There are some knowledgeable Speester historians on our site who may chime in.

Just to let you guys know, the factory DID build RHD Speedsters and I personally know of one, owned by my friend Delwyn Mallett, who bought it back in the 1970s and raced it regularly. He still owns it to this day. You can see a photo of it on the bottom left hand corner of page 14 of the new issue of Classic Porsche magazine (issue #14).
