I don't know but don't wink at him!!!
Whoa this has escalated, you go away for a while and this happens haha. I love seeing the age old discussion over which car is better, to which there will never be an agreed point of view, its a beautiful thing. But comments for those supplying the cars in particular such a niche type, I cant tell you enough the importance of putting the customer at the centre of everything you do, so a call back or an email could go a long way, but hey I wouldnt complain I would just go elsewhere. Oh and just to wage in on this discussion, I just watched a mazda MX5 ( miata ) on the weekend race against a viper, a porsche GT3 and a Ferrari f430 factory race car, it held its own quite well, but the Turbo was almost as big as the car hahaha, it was cool.
Yes. Miatas do have their place. They are great handling cars, and excellent for racing and for librarians.

These guys are really good dealers. I have no connection other than I've purchased a car from them previously.
Aussie
Welcome to the forum.
I have a LHD speedster and have a few thoughts on LHD and rego. process.
What Aussie state are you in?
Perhaps contact me via a dialogue - top right - I can give you some options. It probably will not interest those outside Australia reading about our rego. process and difficult import process!!
Enjoy the forum and friendship on site here.

I just got my Intermeccanica Speedster fully road registered in Melbourne/Australia. As an architect, I found it more difficult than getting a building permit for a 2 storey dwelling!! It has been costly but well worth every penny. Don't expect much change for your $45-50K. My only advice, get one with the build date as early as possible. The later the build date; the more costly it gets in order for the required modifications for ADR compliance (Australian Design Rules).

Just sent you a Dialogue - top right corner Dialogue
Thanks Aussie. It was hell getting it registered, everyone discouraged me to do it saying it was impossible and just take the easy way out with a club permit and I said damn no! I want drive it 365 days of the year. Being a designer really helped, I had to design/engineered anti intrusion bars to both doors, design ADR/Engineer approved mounts for the ADR approved shoulder/lap seatbelts, collapsible steering column with NATA x-rayed/certified welds, reduce decibel rating of the exhaust and so on and so forth..etc..etc...I'm tired just thinking about it. As I've said, make sure you get one with an early build date!!! An Intermeccanica while you're at it...
Oh, and yes to the catch-up Bernie!!

Al. Most of us here in North America would be astounded as what you had to go through to get your car 'legalized'. I am quite impressed with what you did.
I hope you enjoy that beast for a long, long time.
Thanks Al.
I anticipate picking my 356 up in about three weeks.
When you get a chance send me a dialogue with best contact details.
And coffee on me!!

Thanks mate but boy this cars are so much fun and well worth it!
Al - congrats on your tenacity in getting your Speedster registered! Makes the 'prize' of being able to drive that bad-boy even sweeter! Your looks looks VERY cool with that low outlaw stance.
Nice one, Buck ! Yer lookin" NICE !!!
Can we see a pic of what it looks like from underneath?
WOW. That's really beautiful.
Better start saving your pennies, Jim.
My engineer tells me there's going to be some dramatic changes to the club rego soon. It won't be so easy anymore. Both Vicroads and cops are tired of pulling over cars on club regos. I actually know of people now attempting to register their cars before the changes come into effect. Check with car clubs asap.
