looks like a kit car:}
No, it does not. Certainly not as pretty as a 550 Spyder, but still a beautiful part of automotive history. RSKs were made in less numbers than 550s so more rare.
We saw one at Lime Rock several times. It is a hand built really cool race car from a better time. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in the build are amazing. If you looked at one up close like I have, the word kit would never come to mind.
ok an expensive kit car
I prefer the RSK front, but the rear is awkward to me. Heck, I like ‘em both.
I dig the wrap around windshield.
Are they aluminum bodied?
Sorry it should’ve said Bonhams auction😎
This one was sold back in 2019 also at Bonhams in Monterey. It was once owned by a friends Father in Law who had it in his collection in Ohio. It's a very rare center seat model.

Yes. All Spyders are aluminum bodied, and the bodies were made by Wendler, except for the first 8 550 prototypes/mules.

@TRP I'm with Lane on this one. Obviously, as I have a 550.
