rnew adio for my 356 porshe replica?

i want a radio but do not want an antenna hanging off the body. any suggestions?

You can mount the antenna horizontal along the steel bracing under the dash

charles, most radio shops have a set up that can go under the dash. I got mine at circut city.

Until I recently chose to go radioless, I connected an antenna wire from the radio to the bottom of the windshield center post, worked great.

I got me an AM/FM Sony Walkman radio with headphones...it's also better because you can pretend you don't hear people when they try to invade your privacy as you drive. These cars are incredibly fun but they do attract all sorts of people including nosey & stupid lunatics & A-holes sometimes. A stop at a gas station or a stop light can turn into a nightmare real quick. Driving with the top up also helps since they can't even see your face. Sorry for rambling off topic...

What a great idea to use the windshield post, I'm sure that the entire windshield frame plays into this working well

I took a regular old 30" whip antenna for a car, and mounted it inside the trunk, running along the passenger side, downhill towards the front. Used a couple of clamps to hold it to the side of the trunk and a couple of dabs of clear silicon caulk to hold the middle from jiggling. Works spiffy.

But using the windshield frame is a pretty cool idea....

Purchase a Haranda power amped diploe Antenna for under your dash if you want great reception, a small unit, and easy installation. Inexpensive, and it works.
