Rocker panel rubber moulding poping out | 356 Speedster, 550 Spyder, Replica, Automotive Community

Does anyone have a cure to stop the rubber from coming out of the aluminum extrusion. Mine comes out often especially in the summer while wearing shorts and the bare leg seems to drag on the rubber pulling it out (I know I'm really setting myself up for a wise crack here).

Not gonna step in that..

But you could put a little 3M contact cement in behind the problem area..

That might do the trick..

Or yellow glue, the weatherstrip adhesive. Use it sparingly lest it get on your leg.

It cleans up with acetone or laquer thinner But be very very careful to stay away from paint with any of these.

And Yes,,,, a little goes a long way be stingey.. and only do the area that keeps coming out.

Id use a model car builders paint brush to apply the glue.
