Where can I obtain a rollbar/'showbar for a CMC Speedster? Don't plan on racing it just cruise it around. I've got the Cobra to go racing in

I've seen them offered up for sale a couple times here. Be sure to get the separate mounting pieces. Shipping is going to cost as they are 1 piece and heavy. There'a a guy (JBTrades) on ebay that frequently has NOS CMC tonneaus cut for the show bars for $80-100.
There's a reason why they call 'showbars' mousetraps.
Ain't it the truth, Ron! An improperly braced roll bar is more dangerous than the car without.
G.R.- Don't put something in your car that can end up hurting/killing you. It needs to be properly anchored and triangulated so it won't fold in a collision/mis-hap.
Thanks for the warning but your 'preachin' to the choir' on this. I just called them 'show' bars because some guys on forums get all bent out of shape if it is not a true cage type for roadsters. I have a SCCA/VRA approved roll bar in my Cobra, slightly heavier gauge than standard Cobra roll bars, 3 point, one down bar forward and the legs all fastened to hard points on the frame. it also has 5-point racing harnesses with the shoulder straps fastened to a frame cross member behind the rear cowl, also SCCA/Vintage Racing Association approved...yet some folks say it is not a true roll bar
I wish I had a roll bar too--but it would have to be a real, functioning one. One of our SOCers was killed on the Pacific Coast highway a few years ago when his car went upside down and skidded down the gravel side of the road. I think of this and try to never let another vehicle get close to me when I'm driving my Speedster.
The fake roll bar is sorta like the joke where a doctor told his patient that he would die without a $500,000 operation. When the guy screamed about the price the doc said no problem---he could just touch up the xray for $29.95!
