Roll up windows

Hi all,
thought I'd start a new thread rather than jump on the back of another thread.

Here is my update on my roll ups.

My update.
I'd thought about this problem for a long time before I decided on the direction l went in. That's why my posts are simply removable for when no rain is about, or drive with top down. A small alloy cap is placed to fill the hole of the post when not in situ. I get a great seal alround. No wind whistles or rain gets in. You may need to flick back through the pages to see the progress

I'd bet a donut he made them. If you go through the thread he links, you'll see that he's an upholsterer, welder, and fantastic fabricator. He and Ollie are on a whole 'nuther level.

For my restraint straps I used pieces from a Suzuki Samurai and seat belt material.

I had the metal bits chromed.

Stan, you've just lost a Donut.

Door check straps, they're to cheap to make. They are available over here in many stores and eBay. Here's a link.

Bruce if you go back through the the pages you'll see how they are made from scratch and how the posts are held in place.

I'll do a video and show how easy they are to install and remove.

Hi Guys. I have a Chesil (UK car) This is Chesils solution. The chrome piece is permanently fixed to the door which carries a rubber seal which seals against the windscreen. It works.....wind up windows is pretty near an absolute requirement here in the UK. I know people don't all have them here but I couldn't be without them.
