My son, Chris, has finally decided that he simply can't make it to Carlisle this year - too much traveling for work and all that - so I have JUST cancelled the room I had reserved for him at the Marriot Courtyard.
If you have a room at a neighboring hotel because they were sold out at the Marriot, here's your chance to join the rest of us.

When I saw this, I tried to change rooms. I originally booked a king room with a sleeper sofa, then my son decided to join and I tried to change the room to 2 queens, but none were available. I asked to be put on a waiting list, but, to date, no one called. I thought that this might be my opportunity to switch (having no idea what kind of room Chris had reserved), but I thought it was worth a shot.
I was informed that there were double rooms available and I could switch, but would not get the group rate because that was closed two weeks prior to the event.
I was told that I could try and change at check in without an increase in price. I guess I'll take my chances.
Bottom line, rooms are available, but no longer at the group rate.
Yes, Tom. LennyC booked our room back in Jan/Feb. and was told there weren't any double queen rooms available, only king/sleeper rooms. I think he successfully changed it, but we'll find out soon enough.
I really wish Chris could make it Gordon, haven't seen him in WAY too long!
