My car rides very rough lately. I know my tires are not balanced (the goodyear store by my house could not do it) so I have to wait for the weather to get better so I can drive to a vw shop which is on the other side of the city. I replace my shocks with new heavy duty (gas) and I can no tell the difference from before. I guess my question is, if the HD shocks was a good choice or not. (Also my car sits a little bit higher than before) Thanks

Might be the shocks . . .

I had GR2s in the font and took them out because the ride suffered so much. There just wasn't enough weight for the shocks to work correctly. Replaced them with a cheapo set of AutoZone specials (which I painted white and put a vintage "KONI" decal on). Although the car is only "yard drivable" with a little illegal street time, it has a wonderful ride. As far as I can tell . . .

Luck,
