Hi all , whishing you all the best for this new year !
Joined this site some time ago without opening a topic myself , so let's start this new year with it ;-)
My Spyder is built on a shortened VW Beetle floorpan of 1972 and was built last year. Did not do all the work myself but did this together with a guy i know quite well and who has been building these cars since a few years. You might visit his website www.vwspyder.nl where you will find the building process of mine aswell.
Today i fitted my brandnew drumskins which i polished a bit before and for which i made a small "construction" to fit hubcaps on the rear axle to cover the central nut from which i think it looks better as without.
Did not paint the "tops" in black yet , and i don't think i will cause it looks better this way in my opinion.

Thanks for the nice comments !
Will keep you updated on some modifications i planned to make on short term , such as replacing the gauges and speedometers for a more Porsche 356 style with green "background" I found a way to make these backgrounds myself simple and cheap. Besides that i bought a vintage suitcase which will be placed above the gearbox under the bonnet. It's nice to have a spare wheel , but if you don't have room to store your "jack and wrench" it won't help you ;-)
