Transitions and passages, life is full of them! Perspective is always important to maintaining balance.
I am in the process of planning a move. The move unfortunately will preclude us from attending the annual gathering of the faithful this year. We have been fortunate to attend the Carlisle event consistently every year up until now. We will miss our friends and the camaraderie of our Speedster family. You are all unique and each one of you brings a special joy to us. We will plan to attend next years event, "God willing and if the creek don't rise"! I am including a brief video of the place that we are moving to,and a real estate listing that shows MANY(99) photo's of the house. It is in Missouri, on Lake Pomme De Terre.
It has been 40 yrs in the making, and finally Bobbi and I will realize our dream of Log Home ownership. As a young married couple( back in the early 70's) we decided that when we were able to retire, that we would like to live in a cabin by the lake.
We are excited and thankful that in this economy, we were able to sell our current house at full list price. Came down to a bidding war between interested parties. A great position to be in,and a cash deal to boot!
The style of cabin that we are buying is "Appalachian". The style you think about when you visualize what a log cabin would look like. It is in the community of Flemington,Missouri. House sits on 5 wooded acres and is being sold with a boat dock on the lake. The lake is called "Lake Pomme De Terre"(Apple of the earth,or in other words,Potato Lake). It is in the Ozarks.
This is definitely a slice of heaven. We can leave all of your cares behind and spend your time enjoying creation.
This is a 2 minute video that will give you and idea of life in the cabin. Read the home description to get an idea of it's features. Enjoy!
