What an AWESOME day on the cruise. Start in Malibu Beach, cruise through the Santa Monica mountains on Malibu Cyn, cruise by the Rock Store, shred the twists & turns on Mulholland Hwy, back down to the coast, up along the beach to the Rudder Room in Channel Island Marina, great lunch and then cruise back home along Pacific Coast Hwy. NICE!!
Yes, very cool. And thanks guys, for letting me tag along with the 914 Porsche/VW.
8 cars on about 3 days notice, not bad....
Thanks to all that came, great run thru the canyons, Mulholland never disappoints, and the Rudder room, what a piece of history that place must be, I love it....
Warren gets the prize for longest drive and congrats on what appears to be a great buy with the 914.....
had a great day, thanks again

Always loved that color of 914s Warren. I have a soft place in my heart (or head) for those cars, even though I've never sat in one.
Just as a matter of clarification, Warren explained the license plate 'SLONBLU' as 'San Luis Obispo in Blue'. San Luis Obispo is a town just north of Pismo Beach and where this car resided.
Warren you are as 'hard-core' as Larry & Chrissy Bull when it comes to mileage driven 'To & From' an SOC cruise.

I LOVE 914'S AND WARRENS IS AWESOME
Sorry I missed it, I got the Priapism calmed down, but my guests wanted to go surfing. San-O at chest high and glassy could not be denied! Sore, sunburned, surfed out!
Jim, this was a shakedown cruise before I take it to Tahoe. The thing ran like a top the whole trip. I spent the last two days changing every fluid in it. Now just a few little minor issues and it will be ready. The cosmetic stuff, however, has to wait.
We missed you on the run, Wilbur! San O sounds pretty good though.
To cruise...
...or surf...

That was another fun drive.... thanks Gerd for getting us to go.
On another subject, question for Ken, what did you use for your electric (hydraulic) engine lid raiser. That is so cool.

Hey Will.
About that Priapism problem. Take a look at those "vitamins" that Debbie has been giving you. Is one of them blue? Does it say Pfizer on one side? Just a thought....

Eddy,
Re:Deck lid...It is a 12volt electric actuator. I am working on a universal DIY kit that includes actuator brackets and pre-wired switch with step by step instructions for all Speedster. The actuator is set up to open/close(6" travel)and hold in between and also lock the deck. The toggle switch is and on/off/on that is mounted under the dash. The idea was to lower engine temps and wave at the new Porsches on the freeway. At this point I will need a donor car to finish developing it...because 1. When I built mine I had to remove the whole latch assembly to be able to clear the upright shroud and the engine 2. my best friend just sold his. The goal is to be able to install it without modifying your original setup. Thanks for asking.
Vince your welcome...
