What Alan said and ...I'm running stock boxes on my 1915. On hot days you'll get more heat than needed, on cold days less than needed so put the roof up. I didn't buy this car to ride with the roof up unless absolutely necessary so just dress accordingly. I drive often if it's over zero celcius, no wind and sunny on clear roads. My exhaust is a "universal" ...can't remember the name $75 item. I could spend another $1500 on dual carbs, exhaust and a few other items and maybe gain 15-20 hp by what I have heard, but why do that to a $2,000 engine in a $8,500 car ?
No, I have flanged boxes made to fit the A1. My engine has the usual internal oil cooler, an additional thinline sump for more oil capacity, an external cooler with thermostatically controlled fan, and an external oil filter. Even in the hot Charleston summers it has never overheated.

I have noticed that not all 1915cc engines are created equal. Supposedly mine is fairly hot for that size, while some are more tame, utilizing mostly stock parts except those necessary to expand it's size. Whether or not that affects heat dissipation is something I can't answer. I haven't driven another 1915, so I can't tell you if mine is more powerful or not. It certainly seems quick to me.
