I dont know what I'll have built next, but if I can pull off another project in the future, its going to have one of these twin plugged 2.4 911-6 engines in it. Listen to this thing at just past the 6:25 minute mark. Yowza!

... it's crack cocaine, Marty. I STILL dream about driving Rick Davis' 2.7 twin-plug (with PMOs) car. Crazy, crazy cool.
I notice the guy's got his Tiger's hat on...Detroit never looked so good!
Damn hotrodders & their damn hotrods! STAY AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER!!!
is that a gopro with a seperate mic? How do you avoid the wind noise?
If I set up my Go Pro on the rear deck of the car and have the open slotted back on it, not the waterproof one, I get pretty good engine sound. Note that is where the camera was on the video.
I used an adhesive mount at the top of the windshield and got pretty poor engine sound reproduction, but a better view (IMHO) looking over the hood of the car.
Last year at the Lime Rock's Historic Auto Festival a guy mounted his Go Pro on the windshield frame but had a wiring extention for his foam wrapped mic that was attached on the rear bumper above the exhaust...Great over the hood video with musical growling without annoying wind static.
I'll have to try this because whatever J Raby did, this suby engine sounds just fantastic and worth adding into a video
Marty, I'll let you drive my '72 2.7 twin plugged 911 someday, when I finish it !!!

Lets just say it was more than one thing :-)
It has only taken me 4 years to create that characteristic for my suby based engines :-)
Sounds like that car has 911 megaphones for an exhaust system. I currently have those on my 911 powered IM with a couple of small Harley baffles in each and it sounds very similar. That exhaust note at the 6:25 mark is addictive! Its hard to stay off the loud pedal. Glad I live out in the sticks where I can do that now and then.
That car belongs to a guy named Bryan who lives here in Fresno. I spoke to him several times, but I have never seen it in person.
