San Diego Car Show

The first Sunday of the month Daltons Roadhouse in Escondido puts on a pretty neat car show from 1100 t0 300 including a BBQ lunch and awards. $10.00 entry fee goes to charity and they welcome ALL types of cars including Speedsters. I will be there with my car and a few other guys I know so if you want to get some miles on your Speedster come to the Nordahl exit off the 78 freeway just west of the 15 freeway and bring your lawn chairs and your best bench racing stories.

Once I get my car back together and titled I will be down there. Look for a white or teal flared cmc.

Are there lost of Speedster car shows around southern California?

Also, how do people feel about having replicas in car shows?

We've taken the spyder to a couple of open car shows around here including a rather large one held in downtown Medford. Replicas, done nicely are most well received. And speedstahs in general are widely beloved cars. angela

I think there are Speedster Kit Car Shows at Knotts. I'm new to the forum, but I saw some photographs from Knotts in 2004 and 2005 when I did a search. Has anyone on this forum attended one of these shows?

You inadvertently stepped into the middle of an unhappy situation. If you go to the "Anything Goes" section and look for the Paso Robles show, you'll see most of us will not be going to Knotts next year. The show at Knotts had more an emphasis on sitting in the parking lot rather than some fun driving type events that most of us seem to prefer. The porsche crowd has felt somewhat overlooked at the Knotts show - I'll spare you the details.

What we have planned in April is a get-to-gether in Paso Robles. There will be a show/n/shine event, but we are going to do DRIVING events, like winery tour, maybe run to Hearst Castle etc.

Angela, Thank you for the informative reply and warm welcome to the site. I am probably asking dumb questions and deserved that remark from Vance. Every forum seems to have it's official good will ambassador and it appears I just had my first visit from the welcoming committee. It's ok, I can handle it.
