If you live is Sun Diego and are not going to Solvang there are some fun things to do this Sunday.

Breakfast at Balboa (cars and coffee) 7-9 http://www.sdautomuseum.org
Note: the B @ B is usually disappointing but great location and close to the Park Cafe BIG PANCAKES.

Jag Concours 10-2 at Spanish Landing http://sdjag.com/
Note: One of the best locations in San Diego for a show. Down at the Bay by the airport.

Anybody going? Chime in here SOC members. Hope Larry B is better and can come, David K?, Will P.
I don't think there are any other active SOC members from San Diego (challenge)at least I have never seen any.

Cheers
Dave

Uh there is one wrinkle for this weekend for the Hillcrest and Balboa Park area and thats the Gay Pride Parade most of the action is on Saturday with the Parade. By Sunday it should be OK as the party hardys are burned out by then.
Hetro locals lay low on Saturday. Think White week in Palm Springs. Sunday should be safe.

Breakfast early is good but forget about after 9:30. There is always the ghetto Mickey D's downtown.

Uh-Oh! Are we gonna get kicked out of the SOC if I admit that we just got an new (for us!) Jaguar? Just last week in fact ~and she's a beauty... and seriously, I had a talk with Speedy, and she was OK with sharing the garage space! It was poor ole Johny (Deere) that had to sleep outside that night, but with a little imagination, and a lot of close quarters, we got everyone parked back inside the next day!
Can't argue with it being such a beautiful car. Marc loves telling me that a coupe version is hanging in the NY Museum of Art. (Someday, I'll have to check that out!) It's a 69, and Lane~ good eye, not the original color. The original color (we can see it in some spots under the bonnet) is a light blue. Since the interior is black, I'm not sure I'd like the orig. combination. But since a repaint will be far in the future, I don't have to worry about it. Marc has crawled all over this car and the underneath is rust free! It lived out in CA (gotta LOVE you West Coasters!) till 2005. It's definately a 40 year old car, and Jags are notorious for MX work. I'm just afraid that now I'll REALLY have to start learning maintenance & upkeep for Speedy!
