Santa Monica to Santa Barbara via backroads

Thinking of putting together a Santa Monica to Santa Barbara backroads run, thru Malibu to Malibu Lake, Lake Sherwood, Camarillo. Santa Paula, Ojai, Lake Casitas. Carpenteria, Monticito, Santa Barbara. Probably 2 1/2 - 3 hrs one way thru some really beautiful countryside, the sooner the better as the hillsides start to brown up as it gets warmer. anyone interested please let me know ASAP. The 3rd, 11th, and the 17th are not good for me, any other weekend day is O.K.

You may want to stop by Knotts on April 24-25 with your new VS. Lots of other Speedster/Spyder guys will be there too. We have some nice things planned, chance to see every make available on display. Saturday Night we are going over for Mrs. Knotts Famous Chicken dinner. That should be a hoot, (or cackle.) Click on the Replica Rebdezvous Logo on the home page. That will lead you to the goodies.

Thanks Bruce - Kirk had told me about it when I ordered the car, that's my goal to have the car and come on down to Knotts, I only live about 20 minutes or so from Buena Park. I can't think of a better opprtunity to check out all the various options / engines everyone has.

OK, checked my calendar and the 4th sun, 10th sat. or 18th sun are good for me or any weekday (less traffic) like to hit the road around 7:30 meet 7:00-7:30 At: The Reel Inn ( on PCH North of Topanga) have it mapped out with directions with a few stops for catch-up/food/pit stops, let me know, and the day with the most takers will be the day we go. hope the weather holds.
