I just purchased SAS replica. It has Subaru engine & electronics. It came with one key fob, from a Subaru. Without having the actual Subaru car that it came from, is there any way to program a spare key fob?

It depends on what year and model Subaru the engine/ECU came from. A picture of the fob would help, but all that information is available out there on the internet via Google search.
2009 Subaru Legacy. It looks like it had a key and it was cut off and
sanded smooth.
SAS seems like it is no more. Nobody answers the phone at the shop. Not
sure. I would love to chat with them about it.

I take it the key is not a subie key on the dash? But the keyfob is original subaru? yes?
If so, would they be using the door lock mechanism to unlock the immobilizer? I am just guessing here but a subie dealer or another SAS coupe owner with the same set up might know.

My guess is the immo chip may be hidden in the car somewhere. Can you start the car with the fob NOT in the car? If so, buy a key and program it, then cut off the blade like SAS did, then you'll have another one.
If the car won't run, then maybe you can find a kind dealer or independent Subaru mechanic that can program a second immo chip and remote to work.

which a series of up and down presses on the unlock/lock button enters the
keycode.
I don’t even have that button in the SAS. So that is not possible.

ON the other hand, there must be a key that could be programmed with a chip rather than a battery like they do for aftermarket remote starters they hide a valet key under the dash. Well good hunting for a spare or something.
Keys for cars with immobilizers have three parts: the physical key(which you're not using and is cut off of your fob), the RF remote part and an immobilizer chip.
The physical key activates a conventional switch, so it is not really needed if there is another switch like you have obviously(with it's own key).
The 2009 Legacy has an immobilizer chip which I believe must be in proximity to the receiver which is probably in the dashboard somewhere, along with the entire Subaru cluster(which is how Lawing did his last few cars).
Sorry I can't be of more help, I'm not a Subaru mechanic and never worked for any dealers of any brand.
People talk about defeating the immobilizer or permanently deactivating it. Then they use physical keys to lock and start. Don't know if this will get you closer to your goals.
Does anyone know if the Special Edition Beck Subaru cars have this same key fob set up?
I don't believe so as they do not use all the Subaru wiring harness, dashboard etc like you have in your car.
They don't use any of the Subaru wiring harness, and don't have electronic key fobs at all unless you ask for a special option like I did.
