Good point, Nolan!
I have a question on SAS that perhaps somebody could answer. I understand the average wait is about 24 months before your car is finished. So then does Steve require the entire amount prepaid or does he ask for a percentage and more later as work proceeds? If so what is the amount down and so on?
Deposit and then progress payments as work proceeds. And it does.
I got Wheels.........

those IROC wheels?
Not sure, I told SAS I wanted a five to six spoke 17" to 17 1/2" rim. These are the ones Steve was able to get.

A couple of detail pictures of my cabio in progress. One of the soundproofing material and the other of under-the-hood layout. Engine has been tested and A/C works like a charm.

Nolan - remember, the longer you wait, the sooner it will get done!?
You might have to take some of your left-over pain-meds to handle the anticipation! Hang in there!!

Nolan - I just got an email from Steve, and he said he's given up the custom car business and is joining a Buddhist monastery in Tibet for a few years. He wanted me to tell you he was sorry, and he know's he'll have to chant for a long time to rebuild his karma. He'll finish your car when he gets back.
Ok, can I have some horns like Vince now?

It's been road tested in 45 degree weather and all systems are A-OK including the hot water heating system. It's in it's final detailing phase.

Nolan- I'm really glad for you. I hope it's everything you want it to be. It looks pretty close now.

Nolan - You ARE planning on joining us for next year's Dragon, right? Howzabout Carlise as well?
Absolutely freak'n YES on both!

Sweet looking ride !
Congrats, Nolan!
She's looking beautiful and you must be excited after all this time.
I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.
On another note...I think it's time you posted an updated photo of yourself as it's been quite a while since you started this build. ;)

That's a pretty big grin you got there already. Maybe you'll be showing a tooth or two when that baby gets in your driveway. Sure is lookin' pretty already!!
Getting closer, the dash and piece of the carpet is starting to materialize.

COOL!!
Sound system installed, more carpets!

I love the dash! Looks more like the somewhat cleaner layout of a 1960-1964, and the glove box is a definite plus!! Boy....Steve does a terrific job in the details, doesn't he?
Nolan! Chris and I are assisting a Porsche Pit Crew (Guardian Angel Motor Sports) at the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona, January 21-23.
Any possibility you might be able to drive up there from Ft. Lauderdale?? We'd LOVE to see both you and the car.

Latest picture from yesterday, a shot of the dash, steering wheel and top frame work. The door panels are in but still waiting for the arrival of the clock for that hole underneath the A/C vent in the center of the dash.

Well, Nolan, I guess I know what we are going to be spending at least some of our time talking about this evening. Looking good!

Sweet!! It's cool to see how far it's progressed since Hoss and I were there. I can't wait to see it in person.

MAN ! ! ! ! That interior is a work of art; I just love the colors that you've put together. Do you have any close-up images on the steering and mounting adapter in place? The wheel and the gauge bezels against the silver with that blue . . . . absolutely beautiful!
This is another angle of the dash, hopefully Steve will send a close up later.

Gotta get WAY closer than that! Gotta seen how sweet that steering wheel and adapter looks in counterpoint to the dash and gauges . . .
