Can you post a link?
Can't find it either but it would be fun to look at.
I couldn't find it either. I used a 100 mile search from zip code 10001 and did not see it come up.
Maybe it's like the elusive Loch Ness or Bigfoot. There are stories of it's existence and a few reported sightings but no evidence one exists.
That's cause it's not built yet!
Sorry guys....it sold today. $23500
Looks like an early SAS.
I believe that's Stuart's car. I'm not sure how many hands it has passed through since he has been out of the game quite a while. Unless the car has issues, that, in the phrase I hear so often around here, is a smokin' deal. JMHO
Yep. I saw it at . I would make sure to inspect it personally.
Hemmings. http://www.hemmings.com/classi...eedster/1827683.html
Except for NY rust - that is one gorgeous car.
With that low mileage I'd be afraid that over heating issues haven't been worked out.
dealer on the east end of long island by the hamptons. I like how they took the Scat procar seats and upholstered them to look like Porsche 356 coupe/cabby seats. giving me some ideas.
No offense to Stuart or anyone else... those wheels make me want to cry.

Well Ted we all can't have your wheels...
I'm pretty sure Stuart's car had a 2.5 liter engine, not a 2.2.

Are you sure that's not a 2.5l , Jethro ? I'm not sure either way. What you can see of the top of the valve covers doesn't look like any 2.2l that I've seen.
I just found this link http://autopartsorlando.com/product/subaru-engine/ which claims to be a 2.5l engine. Either way, Stuarts engine has lot's of parts moved around on the top of it for clearance reasons. The coil is where the alternator is normally and it looks like the alt may be way over to the right side of the car.
Had I known about a mid engine Speedster, I would have been down to look at it for sure...especially at that price. Cooling issues can be solved.
The ad says 2.2. I'm pretty sure it's actually a 2.5
I know Jim Kelly has had overheating issues. My SAS runs at 195 degrees in stop & go traffic, but it has never crept any higher than that. Once I get moving, it stays around 180 degrees. Mine isn't turbo like Jim's

I agree that it probably is a SOHC 2.5 Jethro. My first sentence in my post above was not correct.
I know Jim has overheating problems but he's putting out lots of HP. Jethro...could you please elaborate on your cooling system ? Where's your rad...any pics of your engine exposed and or cooling system exposed ?
I'm just trying to learn as much as I can about cooling systems. Hopefully my new engine will be sufficiently cooled with the existing system. We'll know soon.. Thanks.
