I was doing some research on these cars, and to my surprise found this one in Longmont, Colorado. If it was a roadster, it would already be in my garage. At $21K for a 6,000 mile car, the price and the zero wait time are very attractive.

This is a car that originally became available as part of a divorce settlement and has been various places since then. If you call Steve, he will tell you about the evolving configuration which may be similar to that of Hoss' or my coupe.

Your other instincts are correct, the only way to get one quickly is to find a resale.
Troy/John, Steve indicated to me yesterday that he had two calls from a mechanic in Sarasota that was going over the car and repairing some small items and servicing it for the new owner.

John, I will try and get you a better lead on the car's location in Sarasota from Steve, if privacy issues don't get in the way.
