Some I think is visual from camera angle but even original was no perfectly symmetrical.  Doesn't lowering a VW push wheels back and adding caster shims move them forward (a bit).  I can see wanting them back slightly so wheels can turn outside the wheel opening. Carl B and I have ongoing discussion as he wants to refiberglass his VS for symmetry.  HA, at least you don't see it on a flared car.

Well, THAT was a steal, then!

SAS cars are remarkable for the amount of technology and just plain "stuff" that he puts into them (ABS?  Power Steering?  Full Automatic?), but it seems that each one was a pure "one-off" in that I don't believe he made two cars alike.  Each one sold had something different (like the surprise electric top on Jethro's car) and I think a number of buyers got more than they expected (only fair, after that long, long wait).

That uniqueness also makes them difficult to find service for unless you learn about the car and do all of your own work.  Using a Subaru manual only gets you so far and the rest is uncharted territory.
