Saturday Morning Cruise to San Diego

Here are some short clips of some West Coast SOCer's on the way to San Diego, CA.

This first clip is of Vince & Terry enjoying the SoCal sun!

This next clip is of Desi (Cabanaboy) & Becky styling in their outrageous Outlaw (Nice hat, Becky!).

Here is Brad in VSPDTSR throwing out some major vibes while cruising to San Diego! Brad, dude, could driving BE any more fun?!

I had to HAUL ASS to catch up with Mangoman - hanging loose in his Speedster - catching some rays on the way top San Diego!

340 miles later, I'm beat up, by the wind, the sun, the drinks.....
And anything else I can think of.....
What a day.....It had to be 150 degrees in North county, Sandy Eggo...
At one point I thought I was going to explode.....

First I need to thank David B. for planning another great run. Not sure who was responsible for the maps, but I never had to look at it, cause my leader (Larry B.) did an awesome job guiding us through the twisties and safely to Thunder Ranch, which is always a treat to see.
They build great cars, and treat us very special every year when we come for a visit. Anyone who gets the chance should visit their
facility.....The hotel had special parking and seating for us, thanks to David.....The Idea of having leaders and groups of 4 or 5 cars in a group worked well, last year we had cars all over the place....

Second, from now on Esther will be known as "Crazy Esther" with a little work she could be my Female counterpart....OK a lot of work, but she is lots of fun and it was a pleasure meeting her, her Husband Grant and all the others who joined in the 3rd Annual cruise to the Hotel Del.....

There were lots of pic's taken, so I am sure they will be posted within the next few days..........

Stay tuned to the Events section, in the next few days I will put up a date for the "wine run" behind Solvang....looks like last weekend in August or first weekend in September.............

As you guys know Becky and I love the LORD Jesus Christ and after that run thru the cold part of Hell you might consider where your after life will be spent( say what!!) Thanks Jim for the video's and pics also for the kind words, big up's to David .B and his crew for all there efforts and planning. I was thinking, shine this map where is a spray bottle( no disrespect) maybe I'll rig some kind of interior mister.Brad thanks for lunch, we'll hook-up with you and your wife for dinner real soon. Looks like a great time was had by all. Even in the Heat. I will keep checking back for more pics. Nothing better than seeing my fellow speedster "nuts" out on the road! I am jealous!!

jeanette and i had a great time on the run. i played caboose in our group for most of the run through the twisties from hell (now we know what the temperature is like in hell). it would be nice to get/see photos from the front side of our cars, because j took plenty of ass shots.

it was a pleasure meeting you all.

Thanks to Grant Harper and Roland for pre running the route and getting the maps together and to Esther for making the very first post to get this thing started. Thanks to Tom and Chuck at Thunder Ranch for the Pit Stop, we needed it. Next year might be more fun if we made it an overnight event giving us more opportunity to have dinner and ?????? The event could be earlier to cut down on heat or was this some fluke in the weather pattern or is Big Al right?? For all you San Diego folks or anyone close see you Thursday night in Encinitas at the Car Show.

I can't even PRETEND to know why those clips won't open for you - but if you log on to YouTube.com you should be able to view them directly.

Once on YouTube, click the Video tab and do a video search (upper right hand corner) with the 'tag word' - Speedster. That will bring up a few clips with that tag - but more importantly, the clips I've submitted with the Carbon Canyon and Hotel Del Coronado cruise events. Hope you enjoy viewing these clips (short but sweet).

Wow! What a blast that ride was.. Even going thru the bowels of hell. Thought I was going to die out there like most of us.....Thank you all that made it possible and safe. We look foward to the next run and hanging with the crew again. Thunder Ranch Thank you it was a great place to visit and be saved from hell. Desi Becky we look foward to meeting up with you two soon. Any one that can and will help me on getting some pics up on the blog please contact me have some great ones that everyone could enjoy........ Wow -- second "wow" of the day -- Good stuff! I finally was able to see the video clips. Y'all don't just drive slowly at all, do you?
Maybe I'll move back out there one of these days!

If you ever have any reason to visit SoCal, you're welcome to crash at our humble abode! Let me know ahead of time so that I can save up enough "Bail" money!
