Hey Guys,
Steve said he will have 2 at near-completion on the 30th. I am not sure what that means but, if I can, I may make the trek down there to take a peek. Who do they belong to? I thought he said there was a Speedster and a Cabriolet. Anyway, anyone else planning to go??? If I go, maybe John H can meet some of us with his. Good time to show off the ride.

Near completion means they are ready to go except for maybe a single part or something of that nature. My car will be one of them, and the only question mark is the chromer getting my tubes done in a timely fashion so that Steve can put them on. Other then that the car will be done and ready for me to pick up on the 2nd. My car will also have the european script installed at the last moment depending on if they show up or not. If they don't I will take the car home anyway and worry about the european scripts when they show up.

The other car is Stuart's speedster which will also be picked up on the 2nd or 3rd. Then we will drive together until Kansas City where are paths will seperate and I will go to Des Moines and he will go to Sun Valley.

The only thing that will throw a wrench in this plan is my tubes not coming back from the chromer in time? Does it surprise anyone that my tubes are still the only hangup...LOL.
Hi John Hallstrand,
It looks like my wife and I will be able to make it to SAW on July 30. We are about 3 hours away and will probably leave here around 8:00-9:00. We will get there about 12:00 noon roughly. Will you be able to make it that day? If so, I can call you when we are close to SAW. Can i have a number? Email to dsclarklaw@netzero.com
I want to see Steve's and Stuart's cars to know if that is the way my money is going.
Thanks
Shawn
HEY STEVE AND STUART,
Are you guys sure it's the 2nd? What time? I am planning to be there the 30th at noon to meet John Hallstrand. I have heard another Speedster owner may be coming to see the finished products too. If it all works out, I may get off work and come on the 2nd if it's a "for-sure" date and if it works better for John Hallstrand's schedule. Please let me know.
John Hallstrand, does this work better for your schedule???
Thanks
Shawn
It seem like I am a go to date. I will arrive on the 2nd very late a night and make my way over to SAW on the 3rd to have a run through, pay my balance and take the horse home to the new barn 2,000 plus miles to Sun Valley Idaho.
If it happens I will be touching base to hopefully meet "Hoss" and see his chariot! I can't get there before as I have to go to Paris on business all next week which sounds great but sucks!
Shawn, it looks like August 3rd is Stuart's day. I plan to be there. If you can not arrange a day off during the week, I can be there on the 30th as well. No big shakes for me. Look forward to meeting ya'll. Steven, keep me posted on your schedule. Despite the setbacks, don't let the enthusiasm escape you. I'm still excited as hell about the cars being completed.
Hoss
OK guys,
AUGUST 3 it is. I have it off from work. We are certain that it is the date, aren't we? John and Stuart, I will see you guys on the 3rd. What time are we meeting. I am 3 hours away from Knoxville, but can leave a little early if you guys are wanting to do this in the morning. John, please bring your car. Stuart, can I get a short ride with you bore you take off? I am very excited to see it. Steve, hang in there. John Legate wants to see it to. Does anyone know how to get ahold of him?

I spoke with Steve this morning. (Thursday) and he seems pretty confident that the 3rd wil be a go. "Hoss" I very much lok forward to meeting you. Your guidence to this greenhorn has been much appreciated. Shawn the answer is yes to all the above. I will be working with Steve in the am to get to know my car, test drive and basically take instruction. Aftr that I would be pleased to give a you a spin. Alternatively if you want to go there Saturday Steve can take you for a spin in my car. Either way works. I will be wanting to get out of Dodge pretty soon on the 3rd cause I have a due date in Sun Valley on the 6th which means I have a lot of ground to cover 2000 or so miles.
All the best
