Actually, the inspiration was the production-class race cars (now Outlaws) of the '60's. Just coincidentally, the Michigan-bound 6 cylinder Speedster in Excellence and mine were built about the same time and the Stonegray color choices were just that . . . coincidence. We differed in interior color and, of course, that 2.7L engine of the other. They are pretty similar in most other respects.

I want to thank you all for the nice comments. This is a car I've wanted for a very long time as most of us have. Each time we get in the car of our dreams it brings a smile to our face as they should. It's exactly the way I envisioned it and with Henry's input and the skill of his crew it came out right. There actually were a great many things I hadn't even thought of. That's where Henry's vast experience came in and his unselfish assistance at working those situations out to my satisfaction.
Hello Scott,

This forum is great. Everyone has something positive to say about you car. I will be planning mine also and want to get it right the first time. Similar to yours, I will add a chrome rollbar behing the driver side and paint it black (Darth VAder Black!).

You have a cool car!

Regards,
Peter
