I eyeballed some material and did a pretty good job on carpet. But I thought that maybe if someone has a soiled (scrap) carpet kit that can be used as a template that this would be an asset. Maybe I can send $50.00 and buy it and make it available to the next person for $50.00 If anyone has a complete scrapped carpet set I would love to get my hands on it.

I am trying to put exterior carpet (patio type) since I expect that it will get wet. I found a great grey at Home Depot and it looks great. But the fit in the front is a challenge.

Problem with using a scrapped carpet set is the it usually is stretched when pulled out especialy the cut out areas get out of perportion . I tried this a couple of months ago and it was not very sucessful. What I did do is make templates for each area out of overlayed paper and then transferred this to a carpet section FYI be sure not to select a indoor home carpet due to the jute backing which tends to not bend and stretch for a decent fit.... automotive or commercial carpet does work well and the color choices are endless.
