TC and Wolfgang,

You are both Gentlemen and Scholars.

Thank you for the offers - I send my address separately.

If possible, could you post some pictures of the back of the seats? Or clarify how you get the covering to stick to the fibreglass?

I was going to use adhesive, but saw on fibersteel.com some nifty little hooks that are bonded to the seat.

These hooks look more robust than just glue, but have thus far not been able to find out whether they are unique to fibersteel.com or are in fact available elsewhere.

Any pointers or advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Jim.

PS TC - It was me that screwed up the email, and not yourself. Comes of having multiple email accounts and not knowing which one to check.
Wolfgang is right on target. You don't really need to use hooks or anything like that. As he mentioned, be especially sure to wipe the seat buckets down with acetone before doing ANYTHING. The seats that I picked up were coming apart, after a very careful attempted assembly by the previous (and talented) owner. The seats seems to have an over abundance of release wax still on them when shipped. When you try to assemble the coverings, you end up gluing the vinyl to wax, NOT fiberglass. One hot day and the come . . . well, unglued.

Luck,

TC
