I've used VS seats on just about all of the speedster builds.
A fender washer ( great if you are off a hair on the seat sheel bolt hole) topped with a nyloc nut is fine, a couple of strips of Velcro are fine for the seat base cushions. ~Alan

Yeah, VS seats are very similar to Porsche 914 seats and THEY simply use Velcro to hold the cushions down.
If you want a little more strength in the seat-to-track bolts, just use a strip of 1-1/2" wide by 1/8" thick Aluminum or steel strap in place of the fender washers to attach the seat to the tracks.

I've just reached the "now we do the interior" step of my build, and after acquiring all of the pieces needed to actually install my interior (grommet fasteners, seat track nuts & bolts, etc) I noticed that my "seat install" instructions call for "1/2 inch cup spacers" between the seat bottoms and the tracks. I would guess that this is to insure that the seat positioning level apparatus does not scrape the bottom of the seat itself - but that isn't the reason for my question. My question is, where does one acquire "1/2 cup spacers" ? Can anyone point me to a URL or a source, to acquire these beauties ?
