This question is directed to those amongst us (you know who you are...) who are using 914 seats and seat rails.

How have you secured the seat rails to the floor? I know the 914 uses hinges at the rear of each side of the rail so that it can pivot for the seat height adjuster. But I'll be buggered if I can find anywhere to buy the hinges from!

Please can anyone tell me where I could get some 914 hinges? Or if you used something else, what did you use?

Short of buying a whole bloody car, just to use the hinges, I'm at a loss as to what to do!

Cheers,

Jim

Don't buy the OEM hinge$$$$! Someone on the Forum recommended using the Tee hinges (shaped like a T) from Lowes or Home Depot. See www.hardwaresource.com/Store_ViewCatLevel3.asp?Cat=48&OrderID= They work great. Just grind down the skinny piece and bolt it to the seat bracket. Use a metal plate or big washers below where it mounts thru the floor pan. The front takes a toothed piece which you can mount to an L shaped metal bracketand get the up and down adjustment. I do have an extra one of these need it.
