I re-dyed the seats on my beater 911 coupe. The leather was pretty gnarly looking but it was original. Replacing the leather with good quality german bits was going to be over $1200. Not too smart on a $3500 car. So I re-dyed them.

I used "Leatherique" materials, custom matched dye for these brown seats. Spent $105 on the Leatherique stuff, $8 on the brushes, sandpaper and sponges, $20 to have the seams re-sticked in the seat bottoms. $138 total rather than $1200 plus.

If there is enough interest, I can write a "how-to" on this. Don't want to burn up bandwidth unnecessarily.
