I'm restoring the interior of my CMC and for remounting the seats I referred to page 90 of the CMC manual in the Library here. Figure 11 shows the seat tracks bolted through 4 washers which sit on the carpet. That seems odd. I'm looking for a better way to more evenly distribute the weight away from the four contact points. The seats have seat track adjusters which I'd like to leave on.
At 6'2" I don't really need a lot of extra height that a sub-frame would give but it would seem that the tracks need to be off the carpet a little for the adjuster arm to work.

Any suggestions?

"I have been looking around for some very big washers or steel plates I can use. "

Hit your local Home Depot or any home center. They have all of the coolest stuff ! Electrical plates, plumbing washers and collars and shims, bolts, etc. Don't shop hungry or you'll end up buying the store . . . ! ! !
